A new product from Alphabet called “Google Clips” looks unpretentious – a flat square box with a lens of the lens and wireless communication. A user-friendly interface is not there, but that’s exactly what’s planned. This camera is equipped with a special version of artificial intelligence, which will take pictures without your knowledge, but in your interests.
The novelty is based on the algorithm based on the Moment IQ machine learning technology, which is aimed at recognizing two factors: your favorite objects and current conditions for shooting. The first ones are the creatures and objects with which you interact most often, the second is purely technical information, so that the pictures are of high quality. The decision to start filming this camera takes exceptionally independently.
The creators of Google Clips are based on the philosophy “You can not capture history for a moment if you are a part of it. You need an impartial outside observer. ” It sounds reasonable, given the emotional nature of man and the great number of accidents in life, to which we simply do not have time to react properly. But the question is, how much do you trust AI, even with such a specific functional? Can you at all teach AI to take pictures of what you need, or do we a priori become hostages of the machine in this respect? No replies yet – time will tell.
